Hi, I'm wes!
I'm a photographer based out of the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia).

OK, I said I mainly focus on portraits and cars, but I also dabble with everything in between as well (like dog weddings)!
I love cars and decided I needed another expensive hobby in my life which led me to photography (it was either that or golf). I started out with primarily taking photos of friend's cars. Being able to capture what people love about them, and making their owners fall in love with their babies all over again was what kept me shooting.
I eventually added portraits to my repertoire after my first trip to San Diego Comic Con and wanting to showcase the hard work that everyone put into their cosplays. Bringing that same feeling that I wanted from cars to people made it so satisfying to see, especially seeing the reactions of people when they see their pictures. I am still experimenting with different types of photography as I like to stay well-rounded in general, but very much am focusing on honing in on what I started off with.
My journey started around COVID since I had an incredible amount of free time, I bought my first real camera, a Sony A7iii with a kit lens. 90% of my initial photos were of my dog and random plants around the house. I can't say it was a smart financial decision to get this camera as my first, but I don't regret it. I've learned so much from using it and wouldn't change a thing.
Current equipment:
Nikon Z8
Nikon Z6iii
Fujifilm X100VI
